TONY COLN

Tony founded the Michigan Public Safety Training Center to provide practical experienced-based training for individuals, businesses, and organizations throughout Michigan. With more than 20 years of experience in law enforcement, security operations, and public safety training, he brings real-world experience to every class he teaches.

Throughout his career, Tony has served as a police officer, chief of police, trainer, and security leader. His background includes investigations, patrol operations, leadership, crisis response, threat assessment, and community engagement. Today, Tony works in the corporate world, specializing in risk management, vulnerability assessments, security operations, and threat mitigation. His diverse background allows him to provide practical, experience-based training to individuals, businesses, and organizations throughout Michigan.

Tony is a certified firearms instructor, CPR instructor, defensive tactics instructor, active shooter response instructor, and concealed pistol license instructor. He has trained civilians, law enforcement officers, security professionals, and corporate personnel throughout Michigan.

A United States Marine Corps veteran with an MBA and degrees in business and criminal justice, Tony is passionate about helping individuals and organizations become safer, more prepared, and more confident through practical, experience-based training.
